Albert Thomas (Bert) Lyons (5 March 1902 – 10 May 1981) was a professional footballer who played for Port Vale, Walsall, Clapton Orient, Tottenham Hotspur and Colwyn Bay.[1]
Lyons, one of four brothers. Three of whom played League football[2] began his playing career at Port Vale before joining Walsall. In 1926, he signed for Clapton Orient where he featured in 76 matches. The full back signed for Tottenham Hotspur and featured in a further 57 games and scoring three goals – all penalties[2] between 1930–31.[3] Lyons ended his playing career at Colwyn Bay.
He died in Great Yarmouth on 10 May 1981.[2]
